You can add time to a timer that is not on the timeline. Just tap on the colored total time box at the left edge of the timer for the project/task you want, then use the scroll picker to select a time duration. The resulting non-timeline time will be added to your time for that project/task for that day. Also, a note field will appear so you can enter a note for your non-block time if you wish.
